Tuition and Fees
Typical tuition for the 2021-2022 Principal Internship Program is $16,680 for 24 credits. Tuition may vary depending on individual pathways chosen.
Typical tuition for the Curriculum & Assessment Specialization is $3,900-$5,200 for 6-8 credits. Tuition may vary depending on an individual’s background and experience.
Additional fees include

In a school district where a principal intern is currently employed as a teacher, guidance counselor, acting principal, etc. and has received the support of the district for training and licensure as a school leader, arrangements may be made for the district to subsidize all or part of the tuition costs and/or to continue the principal intern at full or part-time salary while they complete the program. Interns are often asked by the district to commit themselves to serve the district for a period of time in exchange for this support. Other interns are able to apply for a sabbatical leave for the year in which they are enrolled in the internship. More information on such options is available at Pathways to School Leadership.
You can also speak with your district’s superintendent about funds that will be forthcoming from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for staff development.
The financial aid begins with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (the FAFSA). We recommend applying online at the FAFSA website, www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to list UVEI’s school code, 034373, in the appropriate space on the application. After your application has been processed, UVEI will receive the Student Aid Report and will work with each intern to help make UVEI program financially feasible.
