Collaborate, Elevate, Engage
Engage in collaborative inquiry to design coherent, impactful lessons that advance student learning.
Lessons are the basic units of teaching and are the building blocks of units. Each day with students, your lessons have the potential to advance student learning in engaging and dynamic ways. In this inquiry, you will work with a group of educators to advance your skills in planning aligned, engaging, and coherent lessons. Above and beyond these activities, you can elect to do an additional exploration of the research as it informs and improves your practice. You may also choose to participate in an additional clinical coaching cycle with conferencing and an observation to support further improvement and application in practice.
Offered in the fall of 2026 for experienced teachers.
The upcoming seminar schedule is below. Sessions take place online on Zoom on Thursday afternoons.
- Thursday, October 8, 4:30-7:30 pm, How People Learn and Lesson Foundations
- Thursday, October 15, 4:30-7:30 pm, Learner Differences and Lesson Plan Analysis
- Thursday, October 22, 4:30-7:30 pm, Analyzing Instruction
- Practicum assignments and independent practice continue after the final seminar. Completion is anticipated in early December.
