Film Screening and Panel Discussion
Saturday, May 9, 2026
4:00-6:30 pm (doors open at 3:30 pm)
Billings Farm & Museum, Woodstock, VT
Neuroscience and cognitive science show us how the brain
develops language and literacy—and that with the right
instruction, up to 95% of students can learn to read.
That gives us real reason for hope.
Join us for a convening that will spark an honest and hopeful conversation about
what meaningful investment in literacy truly requires—and how teachers, school
leaders, higher education, policymakers, and community partners can work
together to turn hope into reality for students across our region.
Tickets are available by donation. Reserve your spot here.
View the event flyer for more information about panelists, etc.
